Line income
How much one vehicle earns per trip and per year on a line, before and after its running costs.
How this works: the payment per unit is the game's own payment script; trips per year come from the vehicle's speed, the line length and the game's 1,460-second economic year. Capacities are the in-game ones, a quarter of the number in the model files.
Your line
More options track as long as the distance · 0 m climb · 100% full · company level 1 · loaded both ways
Normal difficulty, default calendar speed. The game pays by straight-line distance between the two stations plus 8 m for every metre climbed, so a winding track doesn't earn more; it only makes the trip longer. A year here is 1,460 seconds of play (365 days of 4 s), the year the game prices running costs against. The trip time uses the game's own average-speed estimate for the vehicle and a stop that unloads and loads the vehicle at its load speed. Deliveries that miss the cargo's time limit, waiting for cargo, and signals aren't modelled.

What is read from the game and what isn't
- From the game's scripts: the payment per unit (income factor × distance, +8 m per metre climbed, passengers × the price factor), the company-level fare cut, the average-speed estimate and every vehicle's running costs. Rebuilt from those scripts, the running costs match the game's figure for every vehicle except five whose file capacity isn't a multiple of four, which differ by a few per cent.
- Matched against the in-game vehicle list: capacities are a quarter of the model file value (the ACF M-300 seats 20, not 80).
- Timed in a running game: a day lasts 4 seconds at 1× (16 days in 63.9 s on 19 October 2026), the same as the game's cost script.
- Not yet checked in a running game: the passenger price factor for vehicles that don't set one (we use the script's 0.5), and stop times. Per-trip income follows the payment script directly; per-year income also depends on these, so treat it as a close estimate.
