Editorial and corrections policy
We publish a page only when it answers something exactly. These are the rules every page follows.
Where the numbers come from
- Game data is read from the files of the game build named on each page, by our own importers.
- Store facts (release dates, platforms, prices) come from the stores and IGDB, and are credited. We never copy other sites' write-ups, and we never publish a game's code.
How we label confidence
- verified
- Read directly from the game data, or reproduced exactly by our tests against in-game results.
- community
- Established by players' published testing that our data agrees with. We cite the source.
- inferred
- Our best reconstruction where the files don't settle it. We say so, and we never present it as fact.
What we publish, and what we don't
- Pages are indexed for search only when they contain something computed that you can't get elsewhere: a calculator, exact odds, a full table.
- Thin pages exist for navigation but are kept out of search results.
- We don't publish AI-written guides, filler text, fake "updated" dates or answer lists copied from other publishers.
- Rankings say what they are ranked by (for example "ranked by damage per attack"); opinion is never presented as fact.
Keeping pages current
When a game patches, its data is re-extracted, every test re-runs, and a patch page lists each changed number. "Last updated" stamps come from the data itself, not from editing dates.
Corrections
- Anyone can report an error by email; our own tests and patch re-checks catch others.
- We check the report against the files, fix the data or the formula, and add a test so it can't come back.
- Every correction to a published number is logged on the corrections page, with what was wrong, what changed and which pages it affected. We don't silently rewrite numbers.
Independence
No developer, publisher or advertiser influences what we publish or how we rank anything. If we ever accept a partnership, it will be disclosed on the page it affects.
