How this is ranked
- Metric
- The share of incoming physical damage the piece blocks. Projectile resistance matches it on every piece; special resistances (fire, poison) and health or mana bonuses are shown but not counted, since they only matter against some enemies or builds.
- How tiers are cut
- By percentile within this list, so a tier says where something sits among its peers, not how good it is in absolute terms. Equal values always share a tier.
- S: top 10%
- A: next 20%
- B: next 30%
- C: next 25%
- D: bottom 15%
